Please join us for vivid color photographs by renowned photographer Paola Gianturco portraying festivals in Swaziland, Sweden, India, Brazil, and other parts of the world, celebrating women as fighters for freedom, bearers of light, demon slayers, or simply young and carefree girls.

The Field Museum’s Center for Cultural Understanding and Change (CCUC) puts anthropology into action to address critical challenges facing communities in a globalized world. CCUC draws upon the Museum’s resources to help communities identify and leverage their strengths for advancements in education, housing, health care, environmental conservation, and leadership development. Chaired by Susan Benton and Cheryle Jackson, the CCUC Council shares this vision and provides volunteer and financial leadership to support the goals of the Center.
